Teaching Programme July 2017-early 2018

We are very fortunate that Shambhala International are reaching out to help us with teaching, and that 3 senior teachers are planning to visit South Africa over the coming months.

7th – 9th July 2017 Rachel Faro will teach Level IV in Joburg.
Rachel Faro is one of the first students of Chogyam Trungpa. She is a singer and is here in South Africa to record an album with a children’s choir in Limpopo. One of her songs was called ‘Refugees’ – a song Jennifer Woodhull listened to so very often. Rachel is the founder and primary teacher and meditation instructor for the Miami Shambhala Group.

The format will be Friday evening to Sunday afternoon as for a usual Level. Costs and location are dependent on the number of participants. For those travelling to Joburg, we will help with accommodation and course fees where we can and is necessary but participants will need to cover their own flights. Please confirm your attendance early, if at all possible by 1st May to capetown.shambhala@gmail.com to allow us to confirm / open this weekend to others.

This will open up the rare opportunity for participants to continue the program this year:

Level V and Rigden Weekend will then take place around the first week of December 2017, exact dates tbc, lead by Acharya Mathias Pongracz

Shastri Beate Kirchhof-Schlage will then come in early 2018 for up to 2 weeks / 3 weekends to start teaching the Sacred Path and Level Is, hopefully in both Cape Town and Joburg.
